No one spilled the beans and Bill was definitely surprised by the family and friends that came out to celebrate his 70 years….from the stories I was privileged to hear they were 70 kick-ass years! Bill was met at the cabin’s porch by his family and friends singing Happy Birthday, and then he was given an encore performance by his 4 sisters singing and dancing.  We were all smiles watching Bill’s reaction!  Lots of hugs, reminiscing and story-telling went on while the Outpost Catering fired up their beast of a grill.  Mouth-watering aromas filled the air while all the guests sat down to eat on the cabin’s gorgeous grounds. The rain continued to hold off while the ice cream bar opened up for dessert. Everyone watched as Bill opened up his photo book gift…a contribution from all of his loved ones. Bill’s daughter and 2 sons, from the states of California, Alaska, and Washington D.C were able to come together and coordinate one epic event. Old college friends, running friends, sisters, cousins..you name it, they all came out to honor Bill. According to a friend, Bill is “the real deal, he is a stand up guy..you know just good through and through…the whole family is, and I’m lucky enough to know him” One can only hope to have such an impact on others as Bill clearly has made on those in his life.
