Ohhhh my goodness we had such a gorgeous evening on campus for Matt’s Purdue University Grad Session! I knew when Matt’s mom Jill reached out to me we were a perfect fit! Jill loves her son so much and was just over the moon to celebrate his accomplishments…I think I could see myself just like her with my own kiddos once they’re graduating. Jill is Matt’s biggest cheerleader and made sure we scheduled a time that her and Matt’s dad could be on campus for his grad session. I just adore this family and I love how close they are. I even had to sneak a few behind the scenes of Jill helping Matt get in to his cap and gown.
We made sure to stop at all the fun locations on Purdue University’s campus including the Purdue Memorial Union, the Bell Tower, the Engineering Fountain, Hovde Hall, and the Purdue Boilermaker statue….all places that Matt loved spending time. Along our walk through the campus, we got to talk a lot about what Matt will do with is spare time this summer and what he will miss about being on campus. For the last 4 years he participated in the Riley Hospital for Children Dance Marathon, raising some mad funds for kiddos. Gah, how awesome is that! You all know Riley Hospital is near and dear to my heart after being there so often with my little sister. Matt is definitely a Boilermaker (change maker) through and through! He will miss his time on campus, but he is ready to tackle his future. He graduated in management and is looking forward to a summer of just hanging out. When I asked mom if she was ready for a couch potato to be at the house she said “absolutely, I just can’t wait to have him home!” Although she might just assign him some fun tasks to do around the house ha! Matt is looking forward to starting his new job at a major company in Chicago, working in finance. He may just have time to tackle that novel from David Goggins he has been looking forward to. Matt also can’t wait to be home in Chicago and finally get some real pizza at Lou Malnati’s. I shamelessly took this time to put in a plug for Arnis pizza…I told Matt its a must since it is the exact opposite from Chicago style haha! Tell me in the comments below…Chicago style or New York style!
Please raise a glass and join me in congratulating Matt on all his accomplishments and his kick ass future! I hope you love his Purdue University Grad Session, and if you want to see more check out the Mollie Wenzel Photography blog
