A Romantic and Rainy Wedding at Wea Creek Orchard in Lafayette, IN

If I could give an award to my first wedding couple that endured a rainy day with me, Laura and Adam would get a gold prize! Guys, it rained ALL day at the Wea Creek Orchard in Lafayette, IN on their special day…and you know what, Laura and Adam shined through it all! Wow did we make some memories during Laura and Adam’s wedding or what! The skies may have unleashed enough rain to last us till next spring, but this dear couple took it all in stride, not once letting it dampen their fire for each other. Laura and Adam planned a romantic and close knit wedding at Wea Creek Orchard, and I am so excited to have photographed this memorable day and to share these photos! Laura and Adam were most excited about adding their own character to the Orchard’s quaint setting, they really wanted to “make it their own”. This dedicated couple spent a lot of time planning and crafting a way to uniquely celebrate their love. Laura designed her own bouquet and table settings, her ring set contains heirloom diamonds from Adam’s grandmother, and they included readings from various family members and friends during the ceremony and reception. Their unique wedding day doesn’t end there. Laura and Adam had no problem running in and out of the rain with me,  snuggling under their umbrellas, and when I stole them away later that evening (when the rain was down to a drizzle) they were up for running through the orchard rows, getting wet and giggling the entire time! I have really enjoyed my time with Laura and Adam …getting to know them during their engagement shoot, and getting to know them even more through the eyes of their loved ones. One of the sweetest things I learned was from Garret the best man. During the reception, he so eloquently told us that when they were all good friends at Purdue…he noticed one day the way Laura was looking at Adam…it was “that look” you know. Well sweet Adam had nooooo idea. Garret said to their other friends, speaking of “this look”….”should we tell them….nah they will figure it out”. Ha! Well they sure figured it out and here they are!
