Little Vivian wasn’t feeling so good on the original day we booked this session so we gave her some time to recoup and oh my goodness she had me on my toes! She is sugar and spice all wrapped up into a pint size, and I just love every bit of her! You can see Andrea and James just adore her, and her big sister Haileigh has quite a bond with lil Viv. James and Andrea gave me everything I needed to tell their story; the rock solid bond that they have, the way they look at one another, and the ease at which they move among each other was palpable while we traversed around Wea Creek Orchard. Andrea is on the verge of celebrating her 5 years survival of a double lung transplant….she and the life that her and James have created for one another is nothing short of a miracle. Andrea has Cystic Fibrosis…a genetic disease that has dominated her life since birth….but Andrea has not let that stop her from living to the fullest. She has fought like hell and continues to do so each day. She is currently in rejection and as she faces another uphill battle I have no doubt that she will kick ass as she is a warrior. I hope I’m not embarrassing her but her story has to be told. In honor of what she has been through, in honor of all the people out there right now that are fighting like hell, and to those that are no longer here with us now. October is Cystic Fibrosis Awareness month, let us all take a moment to contemplate what others may be battling. Let us all keep Andrea, James, Hailey and Vivian on our hearts and in our thoughts.
