Welcome to Sam and Jen’s Engagement Session in Downtown Lafayette Indiana! We took in the historic scenery along Main street, sharing funny stories and lots of laughs during their shoot. This couple is full of charm, affection, smiles…and a little comedy (mostly from Sam)! It’s the perfect recipe for marriage! We enjoyed walking along Main Street, taking in the architecture and brick that makes up our little big town. Sam is originally from New York and Jen from California, so they are still finding new places to visit. I was really excited to share a couple places they had never visited before! You’ll see that we also visited the Davis Ferry Bridge and a small local park that provides gorgeous grasses perfect for getting lost in….
Walking and Twirling Along Main Street
I can’t help it…I am drawn to gorgeous twinkling lights and the Bistro 501 delivered. It doesn’t matter that it is March…clearly on the upswing from December, those lights had it going on! I love the tender moments Sam and Jen shared here…from authentic laughter to smiles that are brighter than those twinkling lights…yeah that’s the good stuff. Sam and Jen met about five years ago when they were deserted on an island in the Caribbean together….ok ok maybe it felt like they were deserted since they were both in Grenada attending vet school in a brand new place far away from home. Sam introduced himself to Jen….twice. Jen was very focused on school of course. They shared a love for veterinary medicine and it didn’t take long for them to share love for each other. I really loved hearing some fantastic stories from Grenada!
Davis Ferry Bridge
Indiana is chock full of interesting bridges, and I am excited that this one is so close by! It was absolutely perfect. I always think bridges are symbolic….one side representing where you have been and the other where you are heading toward. I envision Jen and Sam…all the years working hard together in vet school, making so many wonderful memories on the island and deciding to take the journey together on to their future. How exciting their future will be! Jen is wrapping up her residency at Purdue University in veterinary surgery and will soon be taking her boards. Sam, a veterinarian at a small animal hospital, strives to make a positive difference for many of Lafayette’s local dogs, cats and their families. Read on to see how we “popped the top” to celebrate their future!
Trailhead Park
I hope you will join me in congratulating Sam and Jen on their love and their beautiful engagement session in Lafayette Indiana! I had such a blast hanging with them and capturing their love story. It is an honor to seal these moments in time so that they will enjoy them for generations to come.
