I am sooooo behind in posting my blogs as it was a busy season, but I am getting by butt in gear here! I am sitting here looking out the window at grey and dreary skies….but looking at these photos with the warm sunset and golden tones and I am reminded brighter days are coming! The Taylors and I had so much fun photographing their family portraits Fairfield Lakes in Lafayette Indiana. One of my favorite things about photographing families is witnessing the banter, playfulness, and hearing all the fun stories between the siblings. Amy and Michael have so many fun stories from their four kiddos, and its clear that even though they’re older they are still full of a mischief hee hee, definitely keeping mom and dad on their toes!

With time flying by, it was important to capture the entire family in their own element. With graduations, engagements, deployments and all the fun that life brings, we got to just sloooooooow down and be in the moment. Genuine laughter, interactions, story telling…and catching up with one another are all elements you will find in the photos below. And can I just add that I LOVE the color palette the Taylors chose…but I am super partial to greens and earthy tones!
