Oh sweet baby Theo, how lucky am I to document your growing up story for your parents to cherish for years to come! I loved catching up with the Waters family sunset photos at the Celery Bog in West Lafayette Indiana.

I know its tough sometimes to keep those kiddos up late for that golden hour light….but it is oh so worth it! Its summer time and our sun sets have been around 9pm. Starting our photo sessions around 7:30 to 8pm give such a dreamy vibe to those family photos. Jasmine and Tyler were so amazing at keeping up as we chased that golden light. We started off our session in a field of wild flowers at the Celery Bog in West Lafayette. As the sun moved along we had to keep moving too! As we get closer to fall our evening sessions will start sooner!

The Celery Bog

If you have not had a chance to check out the “Bog” as we call it around here…please do! There are biking trails, nature trails through the woods, and lots of wild birds and wildlife. I love sitting by the lake and watching the cranes fish. With their long legs they can easily wade through the waters and hunt. It is such a great spot to exercise by running, walking or biking. But its also such a peaceful park for relaxing and nature watching with your loved ones. I just love this setting for sunset family photo sessions. The wide open grassy fields is the perfect spot to snuggle up and Jasmine and Tyler did not disappoint! Theo got lots of smooches and luvins…and mom and dad too! After having a newborn, it is so important to connect with one another by destressing in mother nature. You all know I am a huge proponent of keeping date nights alive…and that does not change after having a baby. You just have to be intentional about setting that time aside for each other. And date nights in the park are baby approved! I am so blessed to see the Waters again at their family sunset photos at the Celery Bog in West Lafayette Indiana! It’s always an adventure when you allow me to be your family photographer! Jasmine and Tyler were game for climbing through these tall grasses. Then we had some laughs as Tyler and I went to work getting all the burs out of Jasmine’s sweater….always an adventure.

Aren’t they the sweetest! I love seeing Theodore grow, but I kinda wanna hold on to those squishable cheeks and legs forever. Let’s meet for a pint if you want to chat about capturing your growing family!
