Introducing Lucas Downtown Lafayette!

I am so thrilled to bring you this downtown Lafayette senior photo session with Lucas!  This kid right here has a smile that is infectious and just brightens up everything around him….but he is so humble about it.  He was so completely easy going and up for strolling downtown Lafayette, showing me his skating skills at the Lafayette Skate Park, and then crushing some pinball at Main Street Amusements. We had so much fun and I really enjoyed getting to know Lucas, his mom and his sweet older sister.  Lots of laughs were shared when Lucas put on his hot pepper socks…complements of mom and sister! I love how they spiced things up! Main Street offers such an array of colorful buildings and businesses….a place where Lucas fits right in since he aspires to be an entrepreneur. 

More Senior Photos at Lafayette Community Skate Park 

I love taking seniors to locations that are meaningful to them and I am so grateful Lucas let me in on his favorite skate park and showed me what he has been working on there. Capturing Lucas in his own element allows his personality to come through…it allows his story to unfold. The rhythmic sound of the wheels grinding the pavement and the pipes takes me back to my high school days when I was surrounded by my skater friends. Seeing Lucas in his zen is worth the race we took getting here before sunset! He has a determination that will serve him so well in his future endeavors!

Wrapping Up our Senior Session at Main Street Amusements

We met over coffee prior to our downtown Lafayette senior photo session and discussed the various locations that would tell Lucas’s story and we were unanimous that we must hit the coolest arcade around. Between the buzzing pinball machines, the giant pac-man arcade greeting you at the door, and the pre cell phone era vibe…it was a must. Funny thing is that Lucas’s mom and I discovered that we each had been on date nights here with our husbands…too fun! I can’t recommend this place enough. 

I hope you’ll raise a glass with me in congratulating Lucas on his senior year at Harrison High School! I know that I am blessed to have gotten to know him and his family. He is the last of 4 to be soon off to college and his parents sure have so much to be proud of!
